Jacquelyn Joan Brigham Howard, 96, was born on July 10, 1924 in Traverse City. The youngest of six children; four brothers, Aaron, Lyle, Julian, Charles and one sister, Faye.

Jackie lived much of her early life touring many places near and far together with her children and career military husband Ken. After retiring, Jackie and Ken moved back to her roots here in Traverse City. Jackie spent the later part of her life enjoying her cozy home in the woods during the warm months and jet setting to warmer climates in the winter months, to be with her children and grandchildren, Larry and family in Florida; Beth and family in California; and Julie in Texas; all while her son Michael kept the home fires burning here in Grawn.

The many roles Jackie played in her life as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, dancer, and friend, were unique to each. She made every one of us feel special. Her unconditional love and encouragement touched so many lives. She showed us how to find the good in tough times and always looked for the best in everyone she met.

Preceded in death by Husband, Kenneth Howard; daughter, Linda Howard Harding; and son, Michael Howard.

Survived by her children, son, Larry Howard; daughters, Beth (Howard) Hirdler and Julie Howard; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Jackie your shining bright blue eyes and sunny smile were an inspiration to us all and will forever remain in our minds eye.

We thank you for sharing your giving and caring nature along with your spirit of joy and wonder, making our times together cherished memories.

You are very loved and will be greatly missed.
