Jame "Jim" Campbell

James “Jim” Michael Campbell, age 56, of Traverse City, Michigan, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by loved ones on April 30, 2026, after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Jim was born on July 15, 1969, in Traverse City, Michigan.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his mother, Darlene Marie Campbell; his father, Gerald William Campbell; and his brother, Gerald William Campbell Jr. He is survived by his brother, Harlow Campbell; his lifelong best friend who was like a brother to him; many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews; and many dear friends whose lives were made better by knowing him.

Jim had a deep love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also found great joy in cooking for others and bringing people together through food, laughter, and friendship. He will be remembered for his generous spirit, kind heart, and the many memories shared with family and friends. Though his passing leaves a tremendous void, his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

A celebration of Jim’s life is anticipated to be held in July 2026. Additional announcements and service details will be shared once finalized.
