John Horvath

John M. Horvath passed away suddenly at his home on August 8th, 2011 at age 70. He was born in Detroit, MI on May 16, 1941 to the late Theodore and Eulalia Horvath. He grew up in Allen Park and graduated from Allen Park High School in 1959. He attended Ferris State University, University of Michigan, Eastern University and Wayne State University. John received a B.A, B.S., M.S. and Specialist degrees. He worked over 30 year at Hawthorne Center as a Child Psychologist. He was a Professor at Schoolcraft College from 1970 to present. John enjoyed raising Standard Bred Racing horses and Morgan show horses. John also enjoyed boating, spending time with his grandchildren and his beloved dog Tristan. He is survived by his loving family wife: Delphine, Son: Charlie, Daughter: Michelle McCarthy, son in law Dennis. Grandchildren: Tyler, Megan,Madison and Nicole. Also two brothers and four sisters. Donations in his honor can be sent to the American Cancer Society, as this was one of the many charities he contributed to.
