John "Toss" Burgess

John "Toss" Burgess, passed away in beloved Traverse City on March 14, 2022, age 90.

After graduating from Michigan State Univ., he worked as a US Air Force jet-fighter pilot, an insurance agent, and held various managerial positions in a variety of businesses.

Throughout his life he frequently involved himself in community and civic activity.

Preceded in death by wife of 50+ years, Dimis "Dimi" (nee Edwards), son, Christopher, and brother, Ralph. Survived by son, Mark, and niece and nephews: Becky, Debbie, Beth, David and Jonny.

Known by many for his cheerful and helpful nature, he will be sorely missed by family and friends.

All are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Tuesday March 22 at 1pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 3746 Veterans Dr, Traverse City.
