June Lillian Graham, 86, of Traverse City, died June 5, 2015 following her late husband of 62 years, Bob. June was born July 14, 1928 in Detroit, the daughter of August and Freda (Kuehn) Musuch.
She attended Wittenberg (College) University, of Springfield, Ohio, later worked as a secretary and then an ESL teacher in the Oakland County area of Michigan in the 1980s.
June traveled with Bob and their youngest son to China. While there she tutored English and was part of the first group of Westerners to see Hanian Island.
June was a dedicated member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Suttons Bay and did volunteer work at the church.
June and Bob fulfilled most of their bucket list of adventures during their marriage. They were married on April 12, 1952.
June is survived by four children, Cristin Graham (William Schenk), of Ferndale, Laura Sutherin (Derek Sutherin), of Traverse City, Robert Graham (Polly Picard), of Berkley, and Paul Graham (Marcy McGurgan), of Longmont, Colorado; seven grandchildren, Travis Glenn (Andrea), Anna Arbetter (Andrew), Ross Sutherin, Natalie Sutherin, Finnian, Liadan and Shealan Graham; and four great-grandchildren, Veronica, Nora and Celeste Glenn and Asa Arbetter; and her two sisters, Thelma Giordano and Loraine Yurmanovic, both of Dearborn.
June was a very special person to many. She had a zest for life, outdoors, adventure, dancing, music, family, friends, children, gatherings, flowers and unconditional love with lots of hugs and kisses for all who found their way to her arms.
The family wishes to thank her personal home caregivers, Joan, Gwen and Melody, of Traverse City; the loving caregivers at Tendercare of Suttons Bay and Hospice of Michigan for their knowledge and support to June and family in the final days.
Her final resting place will be at Glen Eden Memorial Park, 35667 W. Eight Mile Road, Livonia, MI.
