June Pataky

June Ann Pataky, 86, of Twining passed away on August 18, 2019. June was one of thirteen children born to the late Harrison E. and Helen M. Barber. She graduated from Sterling High School in 1951. June married Bill (William R.) Pataky on October 3, 1953 and they had one daughter, Janet. She is survived by her daughter, Janet (Gary) Yankee; granddaughter, Erin (Travis) Bratschi; grandson, Mason (Jennifer) Yankee; four great grandchildren, Sam, Sophie and Sydney Bratschi and Gabrielle Yankee; and six siblings, Marjory Haas, Cathoriene Keesaer, Donna (Dave) Robinson, Dale (Pauline) Barber, Carl Barber, and Chester (Rose) Barber.

June loved spending time with her great grand kids, family and neighbors. She was hard working and enjoyed being independent; mowing her lawn, being outdoors, picking fruit, and taking care of others. She was a very good bowler in her younger years, enjoyed country and polka music, and will be remembered for her exceptional peanut brittle. She will be missed by all those who knew her kindness.

June was laid to rest at the Clayton Township Cemetery, alongside her husband, Bill, who passed away in 1970.
