Karen Jane Keinath Walle of Traverse City went to the Lord on September 13, 2018 at Munson Medical Center with her husband, Richard, Karen's daughter, Lori and step daughter, Suzan by her side, after a 6 year battle with COPD.

Karen was born on May 2, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan to Hubert Keinath and Marjorie Wareham. She graduated from Coolidge High School in Detroit then earned an associate's degree in Finance from Northwestern Michigan College. Karen was employed with Trufit Trousers, Vickers and ECI.

Karen married Richard Walle on July 26, 2009 in Traverse City at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church by Rev. Fr. Nally. Richards says, “She my soul mate, my Life and my Wife.” They shared and enjoyed a 50 year relationship.

Karen was an accomplished deer, bear, turkey, elk hunter and fisherwomen. She loved seeking treasures at auctions. Karen was very active at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with her husband. She was also active in many Cherry Festival activities. She made floats and costumes for children involved in the parades. Karen was an excellent cook, always trying new recipes for treats. Her brittany spaniel dog Daisy was always at her side, ready for a kiss.

Karen is survived by husband, Richard; daughter, Lori Schneider: grandson Jake sister, Joan Moergeli; niece and nephew; Patricia and Jim and stepdaughters, Suzan and Teresa Walle.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Marjorie Keinath.
