Kirk Silvers

Kirk Kevin Silvers was born September 11, 1962, in Toledo, Ohio, to Reid and Beverly Silvers. A 1980 graduate of Ida High School, he excelled in sports and carried a lifelong love of teamwork and camaraderie.

Kirk worked for the Monroe County ISD before relocating to Traverse City, Michigan where he worked at the YMCA Latchkey Program. He was known for his big heart, quick wit, and gift for storytelling, always finding humor in everyday life and leaving others smiling.

A devoted member of the Alano Club of Grand Traverse he served on the Board of Directors, Kirk dedicated himself to supporting others and building a welcoming community. His compassion touched countless lives.

Kirk Silvers, 63, of Traverse City, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2026, surrounded by friends following a short illness. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Kieanna.

He is survived by his sister, Kathryn (Patrick) Lambrix; nephews, Josh and Jerrick Hoffman; and great uncle of Jada, Cameron, Lainey, and Harlow Hoffman. He also leaves behind his mentor Chris Gorence who was a great friend & support throughout the years.

Kirk’s legacy of laughter and kindness will live on. Cremation has taken place through Life Story Funeral Home of Traverse City. Services are private.
