Larry Boyd

Larry James Boyd, age 72, of Traverse City passed away on July 10th, 2024 at Munson Medical Center surrounded by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Joan Heureux, her daughter Amy (Andrew) Fritz and their children William and Ethan, his siblings Barbara (Allan) Schmuckal and Gary (Sharon) Burkholder, and nieces & nephews. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Evelyn Boyd, loving wife, Karren Boyd; nephew, Steve Haughton and his beloved dachshunds.

Larry was born and raised in Traverse City, Michigan, and led a life full of joy, while he also pursued his passions professionally and socially. He obtained his Master of Science from Central Michigan University and was the Senior Food Microbiologist Supervisory Level at Sara Lee Corporation Baking Group beginning in 1984, to his retirement in 2012. Larry loved assembling model railroads, boating, shooting, cooking, Gym, Corvettes, and his beloved red pickup truck.

A celebration of life will be held for close family and friends at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Cherryland Humane Society.
