Laura Jo Lemon, 63, of Traverse City, died Tuesday February 28, 2023. She was born August 2, 1959, in Fort Dix, New Jersey, the daughter of the late Leonard Delbert Lemon and Jean Lois (Berry) Lemon.

She worked as a Pharmacy Technician and spent the last 25 years of her career at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.

Laura was born in New Jersey and as the child of an Army officer, moved often in her early life. Her family lived in Asmara, Eritrea, Ethiopia; Virginia Beach, Virginia; Mount Holly, New Jersey; and Detroit, Michigan before settling in Gladwin, Michigan when she was 8 years old. As an adult she lived with her family in Colorado and Virginia before moving back to Michigan and then to Traverse City, finding her permanent home in this beautiful place.

She was a resourceful, stalwart, and adventurous traveling companion. Laura loved expressing her creativity through crafts including sewing, embroidery, applique, quilting and much more.
