Lena M. Huston Brown, 90, of Traverse City, died Saturday, May 19, 2026. She was born on May 9, 1936 in Summit City, Paradise Twp, Michigan the daughter of Kenneth and Ruth (Aldridge) Davis.

She is preceded in death parents, aunts and uncles, brother and sister in -law and her husband's.

Lena’s surviving family includes her 2 sons, Gregory and Stephen and daughter, Lynda; grandchildren, Erica (Harris) Dj and Shane Huston; 1 great grandson, Braydon and one fur grand baby, Missy.

She was born in Summit City, MI., in a farmhouse. Lena became an employee of the State of Michigan at the state hospital as an LPN here in Traverse City in the 1950s and stayed with them until they closed .

She received her LPN license in Florida and worked for private duty and at the Sarasota Memorial. She retired 3 times, and last time from Munson as a chart prep at age 80.

She loved getting her hands dirty in warm soil for gardening. She was able to travel a little before passing. She will be very missed so get out there and dig in the earth.

Memorial Services will be held 11:00 am, Friday, May 29, 2026 at St. Michael’s and All Angels Lutheran Church. The family will greet friends starting at 10:00 am.
