Lois Mallory

Lois Elizabeth Mallory 92 of Traverse City went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 23, 2013.

She was born on October 26, 1921 in Merrill, Michigan the daughter of Carl Anton and Elizabeth Winifred (Tester) Betz.

Lois worked as a waitress with Shield's Restaurant and retired from Nish Na Bee. She then started working with Sears and retired again. She then worked with Younker's and retired at the age of 86.

She was a member of the East Bay Calvary Church and a member of the Hearts 4 God's ladies ministry and Lightbeares A.B.F.

Lois loved to sew; she did this most of her life. She also enjoyed baking desserts and gave them away. Lois loved to visit with people; in person and on the phone. She always had a smile and was a kind and loving person.

Lois is survived by her daughter, Diane Shelton; grandchildren, Cathie Patrick and Jeffery (Michelle) Cooper, great-grandchildren, Kyle, Rachel, Luke, Taylor, Abby, Gavin and Brady; siblings, Duane Betz, May (Jerry) Pulliam and Ron (Jessie) Betz and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Don Betz; Carl Betz Jr., Wilbur Betz, Russell Betz, Clare Betz, Gerald Betz, Lucille Searles, Fay Wale, Wanda Gehrig and Robert Betz and two infant siblings.

Funeral Services will be held 11am, Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at the East Bay Calvary Church with the Pastor Kendale D. Dennis officiating. The family will greet friends starting at 10am.

Burial will be in the Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens, Traverse City. Memorial Contributions may be made to the East Bay Calvary Church, Building Fund.
