Marjorie Suzanne Amidon, 69, of Manton, died Tuesday, January 30, 2024. She was born on October 29, 1954 in Flint, Michigan the daughter of Lowell Raymond and Lila Marie (Fenner) Bailey.

Majorie was a homemaker her entire life raising her sons and spending time with her grandchildren.

She enjoyed coloring Adult Coloring Books and doing Cross Stitching. She loved her Dachshund Wiener Dogs.

Marjorie is survived by her children, Anthony (Jennifer) Bailey, Alden Knopek and Neil (Melody) Knopek; grandchildren, Alyssa (Bill), Makayla (Justin), Jacob (Sara), Craig (Erica), Nicholas, Natalie, Tiara, Darian, Johnathon, Cassandra (Jason), Thomas, Kaylene and (Elmin); 13 great-grandkids; brother and sisters, Diana Bailey, Lowell “Bud” (Hope) Bailey, Julia Stacy, Ronald (Brenda) Bailey, Robert Bailey, Leah (Troy) Plank, Ryan Bailey, Casey (Christen) Ellis, Daniel and (Deborah) Ellis, Jr, Barbara and (Donald) Crawford and Richard and (Carol) Ellis; many nieces and nephews; her dear friends, WC and Carmen and Bonnie, Keith and Miranda and all of her other friends at the Sunshine Home in Manton. Special shoutout to them for providing her with a loving home for several years.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Lila Fenner Ellis and her husband, Daniel Ellis, Sr; father, Lowell Bailey and her husband, Charles Amidon.

A Celebration of life will be held on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at the Traverse City Seventh Day Adventist Church. Visitation will begin at 10:00, the service at 11:00 with a luncheon to follow.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Cherryland Humane Society or to her son Anthony Bailey, to help with expenses.
