Marjorie McCurry peacefully went to be with the Lord at the age of 81 years in Traverse City, MI on June 4, 2022. Born in Flushing, MI on January 1, 1941. She was the daughter of Charles and Doris Summerfield and sister of Deo, Fred, Kathy, John, and Jim Summerfield.

She enjoyed taking walks, reading, family gatherings, and growing up on the farm. Marge spent some time in the ministry, but really enjoyed being a homemaker. She doted on everyone, and we couldn’t spend one minute with her without her giving compliments or expressing how much she loved us. There was no better feeling than the feeling of her unconditional love. She will be remembered for her selflessness, kindness, honesty, wisdom, and caring personality. She always lifted up God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Ghost. She will be missed dearly, but we are grateful for the time we had to spend with her. We will always feel her presence in our hearts.

Marge was preceded in death by her husband Grant McCurry, her daughter Richelle Graf, her granddaughter Christina Brooks, and her great granddaughter Neriah Jackson. She is survived by her children Shawn Carrier, Laurie Smith and her husband Jason, and Stephen McCurry; her grandchildren Tiffany McCurry, Benjamin Carrier and his wife Rachel, Antoinette Carrier, Nicole McCurry, and Summer Smith; and great grandchildren Olivia, Lillian, Elliot, and Elsie Carrier, Elizabeth Corby, Ryan Scott, and Naomi Jackson.

The Celebration of Life will be held on August 6, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Journey Church 2825 W. South Airport Road Traverse City, MI.
