Mary "Marnie" Strom

Mary Margret (Marnie) Strom passed away on June 16, 2018 at Maple Valley Nursing Home, after a long battle with Alzheimer's.

She was born in Manistique, Michigan on October 22, 1959 to Michael and Sarah (Stone) Faketty. She was a lifelong resident.

She married John Strom on Sept 14, 1978 in Manistique. Marnie was employed at the Hub Bar, Big Boy Restaurant and Schoolcraft County MedicalCare Facility. She was a past president of the VFW Women's Auxillary. She enjoyed music, playing pool with her friends, slot machines, fishing, playing Yatzee and having coffee with friends.

She is survived by her husband, John, daughters; Katherine and Mary Strom, grandsons; Erik and Tylor Johnson , sisters; Kathy White, Colleen Faketty, Leah Skogland, Sarah Schutter, Brother; Dan Faketty and Stepmother, Patty (Peck) Faketty.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Sarah and Mike Faketty and well as brothers, Pat and Terry Faketty and their Spouses.

Memorial services yet to be determined at Life Story Funeral Home, Traverse City. Funeral to be held July 6, 2018 from 1-4pm at Manistique VFW.
