Michael Nelson

Michael Lee Nelson, 67 of Lake City, passed away peacefully at Maple Ridge Living Center in Lake City on February 21, 2024.

Mike was born March 7, 1956 in Traverse City the son of Julius Nelson and Elizabeth (Raymond) Nelson.

Mike lived at the Shepler and Ohana Adult Foster Care Homes in Manton for many years then moved to Lake City. One of his favorite pastimes was performing for his family and friends by playing guitar and singing all his favorite Elvis songs. Other activities he enjoyed are family gatherings, coming home on weekends, spending holidays bowling and church services. He participated in the Special Olympics for several years.

Mike was a special loving son and brother and will be deeply missed by his siblings, James Nelson, Michelle (Dave) Nelson and Richard (Mary) Nelson.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Julius Nelson and Eliabeth Nelson and sister-in-law, Dianne Kessler-Edwards.
