Michele Parrish

It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of Michele "Shelly" Parrish, who passed away peacefully on February 11, 2023 at the age of 60.

Michele was born August 30, 1962 in Port Huron, MI. Having resided in multiple cities in Michigan throughout her life, she settled down in Traverse City a few years ago and was overjoyed to call Traverse City her home. She joins her brother, Michael Parrish, and her parents, Russell and Virginia (Osborne) Parrish, who preceded her in death.

Michele will be remembered as a generous and joyful person, who loved swimming in the Great Lakes, exploring the world around her, and spending time with her family and friends. Many would describe Michele as free-spirited, a great listener, and very loving. She was constantly surrounded by people and enjoyed learning from each individual she interacted with. She had the unique ability to make others feel comfortable in her presence and found great joy in creating memories with her loved ones.

Michele is survived by her son, Sean Collins (Kristen Wlodek); granddaughter, Lucy Collins; brother, William Parrish; as well as, by her cherished circle of friends and family she spent time with throughout the years.

She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered. The world is a little less bright without her, but her impact on the lives of her family and friends will remain a lasting reminder of the love, kindness, and joy she brought to our lives.
