Nancy Ann DeGraw, 79, of Kingsley, died Saturday, February 10, 2024 with her daughters by her side. She was born on July 30, 1944 in Jackson the daughter of Donald George and Margaret (Schlottman) Vining.

Nancy graduated from East Jackson High School in 1962 and briefly attended Ferris College. While in Jackson she worked at Consumers Energy. Nancy married Douglas Arnold DeGraw on November 22, 1969 in Jackson, Michigan. Nancy and Douglas lived in Jackson and Traverse City until they moved to Traverse City permanently in 1978.

She and her husband previously owned Cherryland Floral and Nancy owned the Lollipop Tree in Traverse City. Until retirement Nancy and Douglas had a local delivery business, One Man and a Van.

Nancy loved crafts and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Nancy is survived by her daughters, Kristin (Duane) Gilland of Traverse City and Kimberly (Claude) Ockert of Kingsley; grandchildren, Sarah (Corey Bourdon) Gilland, Jacob (Jessica) Gilland, Claude N. Ockert and Clay Ockert; sister, Suzanne (Richard) Perkins of Jacksonville, Florida and sister-in-law, Patricia Vining of Jackson. She also loved her dogs, Tootsie and Bailey, who also survive her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Douglas and brother, Stephen Vining.

An informal visitation will be held 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, Friday, February 16, 2024 at Life Story Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Peninsula Township Cemetery.
