Nancy Arnold

Nancy Gayle Arnold, 66, of Traverse City, died September 19, 2021. She was born November 3, 1954 in Traverse City, the daughter of George Lycurgus and Beverly Jane (Haltley) Arnold.

Nancy graduated from Traverse City Senior High School, class of 1972.

She worked at many local restaurants, including the GasLight, J&S Hamburger on Front Street, Sleder’s and Dons DriveIn. Nancy also worked at Hamilton's and Michigan Mutual Auto Insurance Company.

Nancy was involved in the local Theatre and dancing with various festivities in her younger years. She loved spending time with her family and was a lover of animals.

Nancy enjoyed deer hunting, playing Bunco and Bingo, making arts and crafts. Nancy never missed a Downtown Traverse City Street Sale. She also loved the Cherry Festival. Christmas was her favorite time of the year and loved decorating for the holidays.

She is survived by her sisters, Linda (Terry) Fasel, Sharon Blonshine, and Kimberly (Rocki) Wicker; brothers, George Arnold and Mark Arnold; nieces and nephews, Ryan, Kathy, Tara and Ryan Fasel, Ashley, Brianna, Dylan, and Molly Porter, Brandon Beaudrie, Tiffany Marion, Amber McCoy, Keri Smith, and Corey Wright.

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, Beverly in 1962 and George in 1998 and niece, Teri Lynn Porter in 2004.

The family would like to thank the many caregivers who helped Nancy at Munson Medical Center.

An informal gathering will be held from 2pm to 3:30 pm, Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Life Story Funeral Home. A brief service will start at 3:30 pm.
