Nancy Sedlacek

Nancy Elaine Sedlacek, 62, of Kingsley, passed away on March 4th, 2019.

Nancy was born at Saint Joseph Hospital in Flint, MI on August 13, 1956. She graduated from Ainsworth High School and continued to receive a Degree in Criminal Justice from Ferris State University.

Nancy was married to Ron Sedlacek on August 1st, 2003 in Leland, MI. They were married for 16 years.

Nancy worked as a secretary for Shell Oil Company for 16 years and recently retired from Grand Traverse County, where she served as a legal secretary for the Prosecuting Attorney.

She enjoyed camping with longtime friends Todd and Denise Raven, reading, gardening, and being outside as much as possible. In her free time, Nancy also enjoyed finding and trying new dessert recipes.

Nancy is survived by her husband Ron, sister Suzan (Dennis) Sharp, Niece Stacy (Jason) Bonesteel, great niece Karlee and great nephew Logan, stepchildren Ashley (Jake) Hawkins, Ken (Summer) and Tom (Kyrstin) Sedlacek, 5 grandchildren and her beloved cat Larry.

Nancy is preceded in death by father Harry Willey, brother David Willey, mother Eleanor (Dixon) Willey, beloved pets Gus, Owen and Rona.

In her passing, Nancy selflessly donated organs through Gift of Life, saving the lives of three others, while enhancing the lives of others through tissue donation.
