Phillip Majestic

Phillip Majestic, husband of Leona (Lee) Majestic of Irons, Michigan passed away at Bay Ridge Assisted Living in Traverse City on Thursday, April 19, 2018.

Born in Allouez, Michigan on April 28, 1922 to Mary and George Majestic, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, by his much loved daughter Lori Ann Majestic, sisters Mary, Betty, Emma and brother Jack. Surviving is his son Brian Majestic and wife Brenda of Lake Ann, son David Majestic of Bloomfield Hills. Also surviving is sister Josephine Gehringer of Beverly Hills, close friends Matt & Carrie Bearup and Darlene Thomas.

During WWII, Phil served his country as an MP in the US Army while stationed in the Philippines and Japan. After the war, he worked most of his career and retired from Ford Motor Company. In 1983 Phil and Lee moved to Irons and enjoyed retirement immensely. Together they traveled with their Airstream trailer, spending winters with fiends in Texas and Florida. A lifelong Detroit Tiger fan, he was most proud of his brother-in-law Charlie Gehringer,

A funeral Mass will take place at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Traverse City at11:00 AM, the day of his 96th birthday, April 28th. Internment will take place at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens in Traverse City. Please sign the guestbook and share your thoughts and memories with the family.
