Richard Avery

Richard Edward Avery, 63 of Traverse City, Michigan passed away Monday July 3, 2017. Richard was born on December 5,1953 in Petoskey, Michigan to James and Vera Avery. He worked several years as an Architectural Draftsman, until he changed careers to an Automotive Technician. He loved to spend time on the water sailing and spending time with his family.

Richard leaves behind his loving wife of 39 years, Toni Avery, their children Tara (Avery) Stone and Nicholas Avery. Richard had six grandchildren; Lillian Stone, Evalynn Stone, Gwendalynn Stone, grandson Stone to be arriving in October 2017, James Avery, Alexis Avery, and Echko Avery, his siblings; William Avery (Jeanette), Ruth Becker, James Avery (Joanne), Jeanette Marie Behling, and Ann Avery, many nieces, nephews; and great nieces and nephews, and his wife's family.

He is preceded in death by his parents James and Vera Avery, his brother Larry Avery, his sisters Geneve Hawkins, and Caroline Avery.

A gathering will be held 3pm to 5:30 pm with a brief service starting at 5:30pm on July 23, 2017 at Life Story Funeral Home 752 Munson Ave., Traverse City, Michigan 49684.
