Life Story / Obituary
Robin Leigh Hindenach Staron
A brave and beautiful spirit left this world when Robin lost her long and valiantly fought battle with cancer and MS on March 23, 2010. Robin has joined her father Robert and brother Mark, and close friends Kathy, Cindy, and Marsha in a better place.
She was born in Marshall, MI on February 13, 1947 to Robert and Jeananne (Rowland) Hindenach. A graduate of Marshall High School, and Michigan State University, she married Joseph M. Staron on January 10, 1969. Robin loved to read, and also kept current on national and world affairs. Robin could and would passionately defend her point of view and what she felt were the rights and entitlements of others.
Robin is survived by her husband Joseph and their four sons, Matthew (Kristin), Benjamin (Alex), Patrick, and Michael. She also leaves her mother, and brothers, Bruce (Nancy) and David (Cynthia) Hindenach, mother-in-law: Agnes, many nieces, nephews, and cousins, and many loving and loyal friends. She was also swept up by two other loving families on her husband's side, Susan Steele and Tom Gray, and the Conrad Family. Please know you were very special to her.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held this summer at the cottage on the bay, at Monroe Lake, and in the Marshall area. It was her hope that those she loved and who loved her will gather together to listen to her favorite music, share memories, and raise a glass to a life well lived. She also requests you light a candle for her next journey, and know how very much you all meant to her.
Donations in her memory may be made to the following: Traverse Area Hospice, the Humane Society, and the Marshall Public Library. Please sign the guest book and share thoughts and memories with Robin’s family.
