Sarah Boothby, 57, of Empire, MI., passed away on September 10, 2023.

Sarah was born February 16, 1966 to Jim and Elizabeth Large in Cincinnati, OH. After graduating from high school in 1984, she pursued two degrees in Agricultural Business and Education. However, even with two degrees, Sarah's passion was to be a mother, which she did with all of her heart. She spent her time raising and homeschooling her three boys.

On July 6, 1991, Sarah married Rod Boothby. Rod and Sarah were happily married for 32 years. They have three sons: Ryan and his wife, Kenadi, who live in Raeford, NC.; Sam and his wife, Anna, who live in San Antonio, TX.; and Solomon who lives at home. Sarah's stepdaughter is Ashlie Hazel, who is married to Colt. They live in Gainsville, TX. Sarah's grandsons are Nik and Lachlan Boothby, and Tripp and Maverick Hazel. Her granddaughter is Corbin Hazel. All of her grandchildren know her as "Mimi." Sarah has 2 sisters: Betsy Jones and her husband, Michael, who live in Phoenix, AZ., and Anne Meeler and her husband, Mark, who live in The Woodlands, TX. Her nephews are Christopher Griffin, Marcus Miller, and Brady Kulbeth. Her niece is Meganne Meeler. Sarah's mother-in-law is Loveda Boothby and her father-in-law is Richard Boothby.

Sarah's greatest love and the one she lived her life for was Jesus Christ, who she now gets to see face-to-face. Her love for Jesus, her husband, and her family will always be remembered as honorable and a life well lived. We look forward to the day when we get to see her, laugh with her, and share memories once again. Congratulations, Sarah, on a well-run race. "I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus." (Phil. 3:14 NKJV).

Please share your thoughts with the family.
