Sharon Lee Lamie, 84, of Traverse City, Michigan died Saturday November 15th, 2025, at Villa at Traverse Point in Traverse City. She was born in Lansing, Michigan on January 7, 1941, the oldest daughter of Gorden William Bostwick and Ann Elizabeth (Young) Bostwick.

Sharon’s family moved to Traverse City in 1956, and she graduated high school in 1959. Soon after, she traveled to southern California with two of her best friends and lived there for 2-3 years before returning to Traverse City.

Sharon married Robert (Bob) M. Lamie on November 26, 1966, in Traverse City. They raised two children, Christine Ann Lamie and Timothy Robert Lamie.

Over the course of her life, she worked for her dad in the cemetery business, ran her own daycare, and worked for several different retail clothing and gift stores. Sharon enjoyed volunteering for various organizations associated with her children’s upbringing, including Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, and the St. Francis High School Marching Band. She kept in touch with many people in the area and enjoyed regular get-togethers with her high school classmates from the Traverse City High School class of ’59. Sharon loved to travel and spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-granddaughter. She was a great cook and enjoyed dancing, singing, playing cards, and jigsaw puzzles.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Bob, and their children and families; Christy Lamie-Withers and her sons Michael Withers and Logan Withers as well as Logan’s daughter Raelynn; Tim (Karen) Lamie and their children Robert, Ryan, and Rebecca; sisters, Elizabeth (Greg) Cram, and Barbara (John) Laffin; sisters-in-law Carol (Roger) Rose, Michele Lamie, and Judy (Jim) Niemuth; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Alan L. Bostwick, and brother-in-law, Lawrence Lamie.

Visitation will take place Friday, November 21, 2025 from 10am to 11:00 am, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Traverse City. A mass of Christian burial will follow at 11:00 am followed by a luncheon in the parish reception hall. Interment will be at 1:45 pm at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are being managed by Life Story Funeral Home – Traverse City.
