Shirley Faye Gallagher 83 formerly of Grayling died Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013.
She was born October 25, 1930 in Royal Oak the daughter of Eugene Albert and Iva Gladys (Hulbert) Groezinger.
Shirley was a beautician with Marge's Beauty Salon for 15 years; retiring in 1980. A member of the Ladies' Guild at the Lovell's Community Chapel and TOPS.
She was especially proud for her 'perfect attendance' for 12 years when graduating from high school. She married, William James Gallagher in 1949 in Wakefield, Rhode Island. She enjoyed living in many places while her husband was in the US Navy. Shirley loved being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Shirley is survived by her daughters, Ivajoan Legg and Marcia (Ted) Roehrich; grandchildren, Jason Rutter, Brian (Tracy) Legg and Teresa (Matt) Gerkin; great-grandchildren, Abigail and Brett Gerkin and Madelyn Legg and sister, Hilda Arksey of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William; four sisters and one brother.
Cremation and private family services will be held. Burial will be with her husband at the Great Lake National Cemetery, Holly. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Lovell's Community Chapel.
