Sterling Goddard

Sterling Rene Goddard was born on September 2, 1978 in Traverse City, MI and passed from this life on February 20, 2024. As a believer in Christ, we know that she now dwells with her Savior in His heavenly kingdom.

Sterling was a true beauty with a huge personality and a smile that could light up a room. She never did anything alone; friends were as important to her as her family. She preferred to have a posse of friends with her wherever she was, and there was room in her heart for everyone. To say she lived life on her terms is an understatement.

She is survived by her husband Leon; sons, Marcus Guidry, Aduel and Eli Goddard of Traverse City; sisters, Lacey and Whitney Straight and parents Jill and David Straight, all of the Torch River area; nieces and nephews, Heidi, Quinn, and Cash who loved their TeTe like no other; plus, stepdaughter Nastaja and former husband Marc Guidry.

Sterling’s life will be celebrated in a gathering of friends and family at the Mill Pond Event Center, 406 Hyde Street, in Kalkaska, MI from 2:00 until 5:00 on Saturday March 9, 2024.
