Thomas John Malinowski, age 61 of Traverse City, died March 10, 2018. He was born on April 3, 1956 in Toledo, Ohio to Chester and Alice Frances (Walzcak) Malinowski. Thomas was a great soul who fought COPD for 8 years. Tom was devoted to his family, his work and his Higher Power and Savior, Jesus Christ.

After graduating from St. Francis High School in 1974, he grew his career at General Mills. Tom worked as a maintenance man there for 28 years. In that time, he built a family he provided for and also became an active member of Narcotics Anonymous.

Another passion he had was riding his Harley Davidson. He traveled to share his experience, strength and hope to the fellow addicts and the many suffering newcomers who seek guidance through the twelve steps of Narcotics Anonymous.

In Tom's free time, he loved gardening, working around the house and vacationing with his wife and daughters. He moved his family to Traverse City, MI, where he enjoyed the bays of Lake Michigan and working at Sara Lee (now Tyson). He helped raise an amazing granddaughter and taught her that God is good. Towards the end of Tom’s life, he was able to spend the first several months of his 2nd granddaughter's life, which brought joy to his heart until his body retired due to COPD complications.

Tom is survived by his wife, Annette (Stubbs) Malinowski; They were married on April 3, 1990 in Sylvania, Ohio; daughters Melissa and Meghan Malinowski and granddaughters, Audriaunna Malinowski and Eloise Clark. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sandra Jazwiecki.

Tom is celebrating his eternal connection with Higher Power and we want you to help. Come join us for a Memorial Mass to be held 11am, Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. The family will greet friends starting at 10 am.

Memorial Contributions may be made to his wife Annette Malinowski to help with expenses. Please visit www.lifestorytc.com to sign the guestbook and share your thoughts with the family. The family chose Life Story Funeral Home.
