In Loving Memory
Viola (Panek) Garvin was born on April 14, 1935 in Traverse City, Michigan and died on her 91st birthday, April 14, 2026 in Traverse City, Michigan. She was the oldest of two sisters and daughter of Vencel and Thelma Panek. Viola married Wayne Stroh in 1953. Viola had three sons, David, Roger and Eric and a daughter, Melissa.
Viola had a giving tender heart toward those in need and extended her hand and limited resources many times to help others. Viola endured many struggles in her life and accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior. Later in life, Viola married Jim Garvin in 1980, who she remained married to until his passing. She grew in faith as the years passed and became known as a woman of God. She loved to pray and hear God’s heart and give words of encouragement to others, as the Lord directed.
Only the Lord knows how many lives He touched through Viola’s vessel while on this earth. Viola’s last few days on this earth were spent in great expectation to go home and see her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Viola is survived by her son Roger Stroh and wife, Suzanne; her son Eric Stroh and wife Julie, her daughter Melissa Stroh, her sister Erna Shaff, her son David’s wife, Melanie, daughters from husband Jim, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Viola has crossed over to a glorious heaven into the loving arms of Jesus.
Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life, he who believes in Me will live, even though he die.”
